My name is María Puy Arano and I am 61 years old. I am from a small town in the north of Navarra called Beruete. It has a little more than 100 inhabitants. My mother tongue is Euskara and it is the language I still use with my family and friends. Euskara is an ancient language spoken in this area. For work reasons I moved to Pamplona and since then I have been living there. Pamplona was already well known to me, as it was here that I studied to become a teacher. All my working life has been related to teaching and, for the most part, I have worked teaching in Basque. I have been retired since last July.

I like reading, walking, movies and traveling. I spend my weekends and vacations in Beruete. There I have a small vegetable garden that I like to cultivate. There is also my native house. It is the house where I feel welcome and safe. It takes me back to my childhood.

Through Rosa I learned about this project and, from the beginning, I found it interesting. Rosa shared videos with me and I was able to see that what Palmar calls Shared Memories is a good intergenerational methodology for exchanging our experiences. I was very encouraged to know that the co-educators have had pleasant and enriching experiences.
