Hello, I am Ana de la Rocha Runbí, a retired social worker, but I am still very active.

I was born into a very large family. We are 14 siblings, and that plus the parents I had, helped me to learn to share, to be generous, to respect, to believe in values based on Human Rights and to learn to have limits within the actions of life.

I have worked for many years in NGOs and the last few years in the field, which is what really fulfills me. I coordinated a center for immigrant women victims of gender violence with minors in charge, a very hard job, but it teaches you to relativize and minimize things and situations, which really have no importance whatsoever and to value how lucky I am.

I believe that the basis of everything is in the Declaration of Human Rights. I am very interested in the issue of equality between people. I believe that both men and women have the same rights and the same obligations in all areas of life.

I would also like this world to be a little fairer, so I get involved in the most diverse situations as far as I really can.

I belong to human rights, feminist, cultural associations… I am curious about everything that I consider brings something positive to society, so I like to keep up to date with everything.

I consider myself sociable and I like to call friends, family… for any reason.

I am interested in politics, because I believe that is why we citizens can coordinate to be able to live together and manage resources well, thinking about the common good.

I like movies, good debates, good music, books.

When I was informed about the Shared Memories project, what motivated me the most was the intergenerational encounter, since I love being with young people. It is always a very enriching exchange of ideas.

I hope to be able to contribute something.
